We believe your body was designed with an incredible ability to adapt, heal, grow, and thrive. Our role is to listen closely, look deeper, and help identify what may be getting in the way.
That means care at Thrive isn’t rushed, generic, or built around a one-size-fits-all plan. It’s thoughtful, neurologically focused, and designed around the individual in front of us—whether that’s a brand-new baby, a growing child, a busy parent, or someone who simply wants to feel and function better.
From the way we prepare you before your first visit to the time we take understanding what your nervous system is telling us, the details matter here.
Your story matters. We take time to understand your history, your concerns, your goals, and the bigger picture before recommending care.
Our neurologically focused assessments give us objective information about how your nervous system is functioning so recommendations can be built around you.
Especially with children, comfort and trust matter. We create predictability, explain what’s happening, protect sensitive conversations, and move at each child’s pace.
Dr. Anita Scheer and Dr. Julie Weston have spent nearly two decades caring for families together. Their backgrounds, passions, and areas of focus are uniquely their own—but they share the same belief: great care begins with listening, understanding the whole person, and never treating someone like a number.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Anita Scheer has been passionate about helping children and families experience greater health through neurologically focused chiropractic care. Her work is especially close to her heart because she understands firsthand how deeply neurodevelopmental challenges can affect not just a child, but an entire family.
Growing up in a family affected by multiple neurodevelopmental challenges gave Dr. Anita an early window into the emotional, physical, and financial impact families can experience while searching for answers. Those experiences ultimately shaped her mission: to offer families hope, help them better understand what may be happening beneath the surface, and provide thoughtful, natural care designed around the individual child.
Since beginning practice in 2006, Dr. Anita has pursued extensive postgraduate education in pediatric, prenatal, family, and neurologically focused chiropractic care. She has a particular passion for working with children experiencing sensory processing difficulties, ADHD, autism, anxiety, developmental delays, emotional regulation concerns, sleep disturbances, and other neurological stress-related challenges. Using neurological assessments alongside each patient’s history and individual needs, she works to understand how the nervous system is functioning and create care that is truly personalized.
Education is also a big part of who Dr. Anita is. Whether she’s caring for a child in the office, talking with a parent, teaching a workshop, or serving the community, she wants families to leave with more than a plan—she wants them to understand the “why” behind it. Her greatest joy is helping parents feel more hopeful and confident as they support their child’s growth, development, and well-being.
At Thrive, Dr. Anita’s mission is ultimately simple: to see the potential in every child and every family, meet them where they are, and help create the conditions for them to grow, heal, and truly thrive.
For Dr. Julie, chiropractic has always been about more than appointments—it’s about relationships. She loves getting to know the families she cares for, watching their children grow, and being part of their lives through every season.
Dr. Julie Weston has spent more than 20 years helping babies, children, adults, and families build stronger foundations for lifelong health through chiropractic care. Originally from Connecticut, she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, in 2004 before making Arizona home in 2007.
Her story with Dr. Anita goes back long before Thrive. Together, the two doctors co-founded Chino Valley Family Chiropractic, where Dr. Julie cared for families in the community for nearly two decades. That shared history eventually continued at Thrive Family Chiropractic, bringing with it years of clinical experience, partnership, and a deeply held belief that great care should never feel one-size-fits-all.
Dr. Julie has completed hundreds of hours of postgraduate education in pediatric, prenatal, perinatal, and neurodevelopmental chiropractic care, including advanced training through Pediatric Experience (PX Docs) and FOCUS Academy. She has a particular passion for helping children reach their fullest potential, while also caring for parents, adults, and families through every season of life.
What Dr. Julie loves most about family practice is the relationship that develops over time. She may begin by caring for a baby or child and, before long, find herself getting to know Mom, Dad, siblings, and even grandparents. For her, that connection matters. Patients aren’t simply appointments on a schedule—they’re people and families she gets the privilege of knowing and caring for.
At Thrive, Dr. Julie brings decades of experience together with genuine curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to personalized care. Her goal is to help each patient better understand their body, support healthy nervous-system function, and build a stronger foundation for health, growth, and well-being at every stage of life.
“Thrive’s practice is neurologically based… they address not only the skeletal part of the body but most importantly the neurology of the body. Secondly, the doctors care for their patients and their needs, you are not a number… Thrive is a wonderful place with great energy with a family atmosphere that focuses on you.”
“I would highly recommend Thrive Family Chiropractic. I have been seeing Dr. Julie Weston for almost a year now and she has helped me so much… She is so kind and compassionate and from observing, she is so patient and great with young children as well.”
“Amazing experience! Was very nervous to start but everyone has been kind, helpful, and honest every step of the way… They listen to everything I tell them and have helped me feel comfortable in my body and mind. Can’t thank them enough for making me feel better!”
Your story, your health history, your goals, and what your nervous system is telling us all matter. We take the time to understand the bigger picture before deciding what care should look like.
We want you to feel known here—not processed. Questions are welcome, education matters, and our goal is for you to understand what we're seeing and why it matters.
Our role isn't to tell your body what to do. It's to identify areas of stress and interference, support healthier nervous-system function, and help create the conditions for you to thrive.
